Trading places
Article Abstract:
There is a trend among real estate management companies in the UK to establish closer links with their retailing clients. In this way, they can improve their understanding of the details of the retail business and ensure that retail units are fully suitable for the client's needs. DTZ Debenham Thorpe, for example, has set up a Retailer Link Programme, while Donaldsons is working closely with Pizza Hut, ensuring that all staff regularly work shifts at Pizza Hut.

News in store for shoppers
Article Abstract:
The retail property market in Bury St Edmunds, England, looks set to change with plans to redevelop the Suffolk Hotel and Debenhams department store by dividing the two large buildings into smaller retail units. The proposals could help meet the demand in the town for new retail units. On the industrial property side, development work will soon start on new sites at Suffolk Business Park.
