Article Abstract:
Two appeal court decisions are discussed in which the trespasser was favored over the landowner under the terms of the Occupier's Liability Act 1984. The first case concerned a protest against a new development and the second involved a tolerated trespasser who sued for nuisance.

One contract, or two?
Article Abstract:
The law governing the need for a written contract to evidence the sale of land is explained. The results of an Appeal Court case which demonstrated that a contract must include "all the terms which the parties have agreed" are summarized.

The UK Court of Appeal decided Scarborough Borough Council was not liable to pay compensation for the destruction of part of the hotel, owned by Holbeck Hall Hotel Ltd., due to a landslide.
