Using the Geo-Political Index
Article Abstract:
The Geo-Political Index can be useful to corporate real estate executives in determining the state government's policy on economic development and the political climate. The index includes data on the state's politics which includes the names of the governor and lieutenant governors, their terms of office, party affiliation and the state population. The information on state government finances includes two indicators, the taxes per capita and the outstanding government debt per capita. States are arranged in alphabetical order.

How to use the geo-life index
Article Abstract:
The Geo-Life Index, a catalogue of information on 10 quality of life (QOL) and labor supply indicators for each of the 50 states and on five to 10 QOL and labor supply indicators for each of the the US' 330 metro areas, is provided. The Index is designed to assist corporate site seekers in evaluating the QOL and labor force characteristics in state, metro and local areas worldwide. A measure that states how each area compares with other areas is incorporated to enable site seekers to find the information quickly.
