Attack of the 28-screen megaplex
Article Abstract:
Colossal moviehouses known as megaplexes are changing the nature of the motion picture industry. Such structures have a minimum of 14 screening rooms, replete with large screens and state of the art sound facilities. The megaplex was built on the strategy that more screens equals more viewers.

Issues concerning the 1998 election in Philadelphia, PA, to select a successor to Mayor Ed Rendell are presented. The candidacies of Republican Sam Katz, City Council President John F. Street and Democrat George Bochetto are discussed.
