The storm of the century
Article Abstract:
Katrina was the greatest natural disaster of a lifetime and a family was fortunate and blessed to have received no damage though it was only an hour away. There was an overwhelming sense of helplessness as nothing could be done other than wait for the storm to subside. realizing that the country would never be the same after the deadliest and most destructive storm in the nation's history, although people should come together and help one another to get Louisiana back on track.

A Biloxi letter
Article Abstract:
The devastation caused had taken lives of many and help was now being made available to the affected victims by loading food and water on trailer, different cars and trucks. On reaching St. Martin Middle and Upper Elementary schools, help was provided to the families that approached them however, the question that troubled the most was, is the help given sufficient or could anything more be done.

Katrina came calling
Article Abstract:
Hurricane Katrina came in uninvited and brought the promised havoc along with her as evacuations and other preparations began throughout the area. The experience of waiting for and knowing that one's family was safe after the storm was the answer to prayers and any inconveniences could be handled later.
