London: capital of the revolution
Article Abstract:
The UK has a long history of offering sanctuary to political radicals. In recent times, many Islamic dissidents have settled in London, and this city is now regarded by some as the centre for political revival of Islam. They feel free to express their beliefs there, and are also drawn to the city because many Arab newspapers are published there. However, many British Muslims do not really identify themselves with fundamentalist beliefs.

Gunshots signal beginning of the end for Berisha
Article Abstract:
Rebels in southern Albania are determined to bring down the government of president Sali Berisha. Political difficulties were sparked off by the collapse of pyramid investment schemes, and it now seems increasingly likely that Berisha will be forced to resign. The Albanian army has already abandoned large parts of the south of the country, where rebels are now in control. In Vlora, Albania, a new de facto leader has been elected.
