All the rage
Article Abstract:
The development of modern communications technology has led people to expect a swift reply to any inquiry they make. However, the sharp rise in the number of telephone calls being made means that in many cases people cannot speak directly to the person they are trying to call. It is becoming increasingly common for companies to train their staff in telephone technique, but this does not prevent callers from becoming very frustrated, especially when they are put through to an automated switchboard or a voicemail facility.

Article Abstract:
Improving Ethiopia's roads is a key element in the country's infrastructure development programme. The government plans to invest $1.7 billion in a large road building scheme in the period to 2005, covering both the construction of new transport links and the improvement of those already in place. It also acknowledges the need to improve the country's telecommunications facilities. At present, there are only 160,000 telephone lines, of which three-quarters are in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
