Article Abstract:
Comedian Tony Slattery believes that having a nervous breakdown has made him a deeper, more authentic person. He now feels that the second half of his life is beginning, having spent two years recovering from his nervous breakdown and being unable to work. He is starting to work again, and has been elected Rector of Dundee University, Scotland. His appetite has returned, and he is beginning to sleep normally again too. However, he acknowledges that he may never be able to recover some of the friendships destroyed during his nervous breakdown.
