Always the English!
Article Abstract:
Meat and fish form a key element of the diet of the vast majority of French people, and visitors who prefer not to eat meat or fish can therefore find themselves in difficulties. Even in modern supermarkets, it is virtually impossible to find meat-free savoury dishes along the lines of those which are widely available in the UK. Vegetarians visiting France are best advised to choose a camping or self-catering holiday and to shop at local markets.

Swollen limbs, helping hands
Article Abstract:
Lymphoedema, an overflow of tissue fluids caused by a failure in the lymph system, is quite common in breast cancer patients. In these patients, the arm can swell up alarmingly, and can be very uncomfortable. It has traditionally been seen as untreatable, but some patients are now starting to find relief through Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), a type of massage which can help reactivate the damaged lymph draining system.

The infant in its nocturnal habitat
Article Abstract:
The Sebastian Diamond Mother and Baby Sleep Laboratory is undertaking pioneering research into how babies actually sleep. This may eventually give an insight into the cause of cot death, the largest single cause of infant fatality in the UK. The research is looking into issues such as how babies communicate their needs, how often they wake up and why they wake up.
