Article Abstract:

It seems very likely that the US will use its influence to prevent the United Nations Security Council from taking positive action to help the people of Lebanon. The US has for many years vetoed any Security Council moves which imply criticism of Israel, and has reacted very negatively to the recent report on the massacre at Qana, Lebanon, by the UN General Franklin van Kappen. There is now a great danger that Israel will put pressure on Unifil to withdraw from Lebanon, causing great hardship for the people there.

Article Abstract:

In 1965, the year he reached 50, Frank Sinatra attracted considerable publicity because he was dating Mia Farrow, who was only 20. He was angered by a CBS television documentary of his life, which he regarded as an invasion of his privacy. In early Nov 1965, he contracted a cold, and this plunged him into depression. It also meant that an NBC show highlighting his 25 year career as a public entertainer was surrounded with tension, as it was uncertain whether he would be able to sing properly.

Article Abstract:

Many Americans need to have their car moved from one part of the country to another, but do not wish to do the driving themselves. Some have their car moved by participating in a Driveaway scheme, which allows travellers to deliver cars. There are agents in every city which can put an owner in contact with a prospective driver, and British travellers are often regarded favourably. It is possible to plan ahead and to have cars waiting after every delivery.
