Anne Hewer
Article Abstract:
Anne Hewer was an arts and charity worker and a gardener who spent most of her life in Bristol, England, though she became chairman of the precursor to the Scottish Ballet. She set up the Friends of Bristol Botanic Gardens and Friends of Bristol Art Gallery, and became chairman of the Western Theatre Ballet (WTB) in 1957. WTB later moved to Scotland in 1969 and then became the Scottish Ballet. Hewer was awarded an OBE in 1997 and Bristol University also gave her an honorary MA.

Nicholas Albery
Article Abstract:
Social inventor and writer Nicholas Albery was born in St Albans, England, in 1948. He developed an interest in the social uses of information, and in the late 1960s managed BIT, the alternative information service.
