Article Abstract:
Theatre and record producer Ben Bagley produced his first show,' The Shoestring Revue,' in 1955 at the age of only 21. This was followed in 1956 by 'The Littlest Revue,' with songs by Vernon Duke and Ogden Nash. He produced for summer stock and night-clubs, and in 1960 produced the record album 'Rogers and Hart Revisited.' This was the beginning of a series which over the next 30 years was to bring to public attention many forgotten songs.

Helen Jepson
Article Abstract:
Soprano Helen Jepson studied voice as a child and later gained a scholarship to the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. She made appearances with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Opera, and came to public attention in 1939 when she appeared in 'I Pagliacci' with the Philadelphia Opera Company. She made her debut with the Metropolitan Opera on Jan 24, 1935, having come to this company's attention through a radio broadcast.

Victor Borge
Article Abstract:
Pianist Victor Borge was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1909. He made his concert debut at the age of eight, and gained a scholarship to the Copenhagen Music Conservatory. He became the headliner at the Gypsy Hall in Copenhagen in 1932.
