Beware the downside of IT share options
Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly common in the UK for information technology start-ups to use shares, or the promise of a profit share, to entice Web programmers and developers away from highly-paid jobs. Some observers warn against leaving a highly-paid job on this basis. They point out that the value of new media shares is extremely unpredictable, and that those who have to purchase their shares in the wrong year could suffer a financial loss. However, others feel that employees can benefit greatly if they work for the right firm.

Money, money money ... now what?
Article Abstract:
Graduates may find it hard to adjust to having much more money to manage when they begin their working life. They may wish to retain the flexibility of a student account, and this can usually be arranged through their account manager. It is also worth considering taking advice about saving from an independent financial adviser. Young graduates should be aware that there are considerable advantages associated with saving money as soon as possible. Those who undertake freelance or sub-contract work may need to use an accountant.
