Irish despair at British cowardice
Article Abstract:
It is not surprising that the Irish government has condemned the change of mind of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, which finally allowed the Orangemen in Northern Ireland to march through a Roman Catholic area of Portadown, giving in to the strength of the Unionists. Southern Ireland has always taken a strong stand against violence and threatened violence. British governments have consistently maintained bitterness and bigotry in Northern Ireland by allowing bullying, violence and threats to overpower them.

Britain owes Ireland an apology
Article Abstract:
The legacy of Bloody Sunday, which took place in Derry, Northern Ireland, in 1972 and saw the deaths of 13 innocent civilians as a result of shots fired by British troops, has been very negative. This event prompted many young men in Northern Ireland to take an interest in politics, and some joined the Provisional IRA. Bloody Sunday was just one example of the self-interested nature of British policy towards Northern Ireland over many years. This has caused great pain among both nationalists and unionists.
