Britain stands shoulder to shoulder to mourn US dead
Article Abstract:
There has been a national outpouring of grief in the UK in response to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. A memorial service took place in St Paul's Cathedral in London, England, attended by representatives from many different communities.

Several passengers aboard the four aircraft hijacked by terrorists targeting the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon managed to make frantic mobile phone calls to relatives. A total of 266 passengers and crew died in the four planes.
