Chaos in House as Gulf vote is halted
Article Abstract:
The UK government appears to have reached an agreement with opposition parties that no vote should be permitted on the launching of bomb attacks on Iraq. This strategy has prompted protests from rebel Labour MPs who wanted the opportunity to register their opposition to the bomb attacks. Their complaints halted proceedings in the House of Commons for more than 15 minutes. Prime Minister Tony Blair has emphasized the importance of understanding that the threat from Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is real, not theoretical.

Is Bill tough enough to play Action Man?
Article Abstract:
A leaked memorandum from the Central Office of the UK Conservative party indicates that strong emphasis is to be placed on giving party leader William Hague a better image. He is to be shown as proud of his roots in Yorkshire, England, a tough judo competitor, an experienced sailor and a sensitive, caring family man. Previous efforts to improve Hague's image have proved unsuccessful.
