Cult's suicide protest embarrasses China

One member of China's banned Falun Gong religious sect died and four other members were injured after they set themselves alight in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China, in a suicide bid. This incident has caused great embarrassment to the Chinese authorities.

The baby girl that they just couldn't kill
Article Abstract:
The story of the Chinese baby girl Ji Huansheng, who survived an abortion under China's strict population control policy and subsequent instructions by the hospital director to leave her to die, is told. When she did not die, staff at the hospital secretly fed her and the story was taken up by journalists. She has now been returned to her parents.
