Gaining converts
Article Abstract:
The envisioned expanded role of pharmacists in patient care is a notion which can only take root if it gains the support of pharmacy customers, physicians and third-party providers. Evidence shows that support is mounting for pharmacists' provision of disease management counseling services. Doctors are beginning to realize the numerous benefits involved in pharmacists' involvement in monitoring patients' cholesterol levels and doing immunizations.
