Condon's apology is not enough, say Lawrences
Article Abstract:
The parents of murdered black teenager Stephen Lawrence have dismissed the apology offered to them by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Paul Condon for his officers' failure to catch their son's killers. Condon admitted that a number of his officers were racist, but did not accept that there was institutionalized racism within his force. He was placed under great pressure at the official inquiry into Lawrence's death, and seemed at times to be fighting to save his career.

Rumour of local killer fills the valley of death
Article Abstract:
Many rumours are circulating in the small community of Clydach, Wales, where Mandy Power, her two daughters and her mother were murdered before their rented house was set on fire. It has been established that Power was having a lesbian affair with Alison Lewis, who on the day of the murders attempted to commit suicide. Power's friends do not believe that her private life should be scrutinized, but the police feel that this is necessary if the case is to be solved.
