Cutting figures, carving lines
Article Abstract:
Ski fashions have generally been very uninspiring in recent seasons, with skiers tending to opt for sensible, practical clothing rather than style and attractive design. This is particularly the case with British skiers, who have been affected by general high street austerity. However, the situation looks set to improve in the 1997/1998 season, when observers predict that the fashion element will return to ski clothing. Shapes are likely to be more streamlined, and there will be bright new colours such as apple green and yellow.

Blowing hot and cold
Article Abstract:
Skiing in New England can be a very interesting experience, mainly because the weather conditions change frequently. On some days, it can be very warm, and the snow begins to melt. Very shortly afterwards, it can rain and be extremely cold. Snow can fall very quickly, covering any ice which may have formed. The resort of Killington is the largest on the US East Coast, but still feels small and is operated extremely efficiently. It is possible to cover the entire area in a single day.
