Do not aid the hand that tortures
Article Abstract:
A 1992 Amnesty International report describes human rights abuse in India. Although India is a working democracy, thousands of people are tortured daily. The report lists 415 deaths of prisoners since 1985. Lady Lynda Chalker, the Minister for Overseas Development, promised not to send aid to countries which do not respect human rights. Only emergency aid is now sent to Burma, Somalia and Sudan, but India received 87 million pounds sterling in 1990. Aid for public administration training is helpful. Britain is not a perfect country but its faults are minor compared to India's alleged methods of law enforcement.

It's a tidy life in the palm of your hand
Article Abstract:
The Psion electronic personal organiser has a wide range of features, and has remained popular for many years because these features have constantly been updated. Psion has enjoyed a strong rise in profits and share price, and has built up a loyal customer base. However, some people feel that someone who uses a Psion organiser is not actually more organised than someone who simply uses an ordinary diary. Having appointments listed in the organiser's memory does not mean that the user will not forget them.
