The land the map forgot
Article Abstract:
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania is not known as a tourist destination. It is mostly desert, and travelling around within the country can be rather difficult. The climate is extremely hot and dry, and there is little vegetation. However, there are a number of towns, including the capital, Nouakchott, and Mauritania has a certain attraction. It is particularly worth visiting the coast, where some of the richest fishing grounds in the world can be found.

To the front of beyond
Article Abstract:
The former French colony of Mauritania is now easily accessible for package holidaymakers from Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. The capital city, Nouakchott, has changed significantly since it was constructed in the 1950s, but visitors still gain an insight into traditional Mauritanian life. Visitors may also wish to travel into the country's unspoilt desert wilderness, where there is spectacular scenery and it is possible to see elements of nomadic life.

The promised land, for a fistful of dollars
Article Abstract:
There are many signs of wealth in New Canaan, CT. However, the town is also very attractive and quiet, and extremely clean. It has a very small centre, surrounded by very large houses where a considerable number of millionaires live. It is less than 20 miles from Manhattan, and therefore attracts many people who commute to work. Its one- and two-storey wooded buildings in traditional New England style are very attractive.
