Don't fear the Reaper, he's on your side
Article Abstract:
Those who encounter the Grim Reaper in real life find that he is kind and patient, according to Mark Chorvinsky, editor of US magazine Strange. Chorvinsky spoke for the first time about the Grim Reaper in the UK at the Fortean Times Unconvention 98. Since he first wrote about appearances of the Grim Reaper in 1988, Chorvinsky has received a great deal of correspondence on this subject. He has established that the Grim Reaper sometimes communicates with witnesses, but physical contact is rare. There are many cases in which the Grim Reaper has helped people or even saved lives.

Beacon of freedom bides her time
Article Abstract:
Burma's military regime should try to be more flexible towards the demands of the country's democracy movement, according to democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi, who spent six years under house arrest. She has seen more than 120 members of her National League for Democracy (NLD) arrested, and admits that she could face re-arrest. She emphasises that the movement will still press for democracy, even if she is re-arrested.
