Dying from a bad case of dogma
Article Abstract:
The UK government continues to ignore advice from medical professionals about how the NHS should be run. This is encouraging many to seek employment elsewhere or to retire as early as possible. The government fails to realise that it cannot apply dogma and absolutism to an institution which is as large and complex as the NHS, and does not appreciate that doctors cannot be treated in the same way as businessmen, as they have greater loyalty to their patients than to their employer.

So just where do we go from here?
Article Abstract:
The National Health Service (NHs) has started to come under great strain over recent years as people live longer and make much greater demands on its facilities. Public satisfaction with the NHS is declining, and patients are increasingly ready to challenge it. It is important to make reforms to align the NHS with latest conditions, whilst also being careful not to reject the fundamental principles on which it was established.
