Essex man was cover for major bank fraud
Article Abstract:
Police documents prepared for court actions against members of the family of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is alleged to be involved in a corruption scandal, indicate that names and addresses of three members of the Qazi family from Essex, England, were used to open accounts with US banks in Pakistan. The Qazi family claim that the accounts in their names were created without their knowledge, and they believe that an associate of Sharif whom they assisted in the late 1960s and early 1970s was involved.

England fans deported by French
Article Abstract:
Violent behaviour by English football fans in Marseilles, France, has led to five being deported. The British Embassy reports that a total of 36 Britons were arrested in the city, with a number having already appeared in court. Deportations without trial could be a cause of concern for the British authorities, who require convictions if they are to impose restriction orders on football fans. There are fears that fans expelled from France may simply return there.
