Every town house should have one
Article Abstract:
Window boxes can play a vital role in bringing an element of the countryside into the town. It is possible to keep window boxes going throughout the winter, and those in front of a window through which central heating escapes can even contain plants which are more usually grown indoors. It is preferable to put together a display using plants which are all the same colour, as this tends to have the best visual impact.

If I buy just one tree, which should it be?
Article Abstract:
The best tree to plant in a garden where there is only room for one tree is probably a pear, which offers white blossom in the spring and fruit in autumn. The pear has a very interesting shape, and fits in very well in a small garden. When choosing a tree, it is very important to consider how tall it may grow, its final shape, how fast it will grow and its colours throughout the year.
