Jennai Cox started to lose weight in 1990 and realises that her anorexia was an addiction. She puts it down to feelings of inadequacy, losing weight filling the gap. It was only when she realised how much her loved ones were worried about her and cared so deeply for her that she began to return slowly to normal eating patterns. She has now regained fifty pounds, a third of her present reasonable body weight, but is still not sure how it really started. She admits that anorexia is very selfish behaviour and still remembers the constant fatigue and nausea.

People in a loss-making Lloyd's syndicate feel they are victims of negligence and possible fraud. Wimbledon tennis players were introduced to unlimited liability syndicate membership of Lloyd's by the agent Kingsley Underwriting Agencies (renamed Lime Street Underwriting Agencies) in 1983. It is not yet known whether the underwriting agreements require the Names to pay the policy holders if negligence is proven. Reports confirm that Lloyd's failed in its duty of regulation, but it does nothing to rectify this.

Venezuelan Carlos the Jackal was responsible for terrorist attacks in the 1970's including the seizure of Opec ministers in Vienna in 1975. Carlos, two Germans and two Palestinians gained control of 11 oil ministers in the Opec building. They held them hostage, intending to publicise Palestine's problems. However, the aeroplane supplied did not have enough fuel to get to Baghdad. Algerian President Houari Boumedienne offered him sanctuary and money in return for the lives of Yamani and Amouzegar.
