Floyd Cramer
Article Abstract:
Pianist Floyd Cramer taught himself to play the piano at an early age. He worked at radio station KWKH after graduating from high school, and recorded his first single, 'Dancin' Diane,' in 1953. He relocated to Nashville, TN, and released an album for MGM in 1957. He undertook a great deal of session work, but also performed on the concert circuit. He gained particular respect as one of the architects of the Nashville Sound.

Grandpa Jones
Article Abstract:
Singer Louis Jones, known as Grandpa Jones, was greatly influenced by Blue Yodeller Jimmie Rodgers from an early age. He joined Lum and Abner's Pine Ridge String Band in 1934, and in 1937 joined the cast of the WWVA 'Wheeling Jamboree.' He signed to RCA in 1952, but later moved to Decca. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1978.
