Geoffrey Bush
Article Abstract:
Composer and teacher Geoffrey Bush was a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral, England, between 1928 and 1933, and during this period gained a great attachment to the English choral tradition. He took lessons with composer John Ireland, and was later Musical Adviser to the John Ireland Trust. He gain the Nettleship Scholarship in composition at Balliol College, Oxford, England, although the second world war interrupted his studies. He was a lecturer with the Oxford University Extra-Mural Delegacy between 1947 and 1952, and then moved to the Extra-Mural Dept at London University.

Ikuma Dan
Article Abstract:
Composer Ikuma Dan was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1924. He studied at the Tokyo Music School, and was established in 1950 through his First Symphony in A. His best-known work, the chamber-opera Yuzuru, was first produced in 1952.
