Casper Wrede
Article Abstract:
Theatre director Casper Wrede was born heir to the title Baron Wrede of Elima in 1929. He fought in the second world war, and then at the age of 21 travelled to London, England, to study on the director's course at the Old Vic School. He established contact with director Michael Elliott, with whom he was to work closely for many years. He spent two years with the Oxford University Dramatic Society as a professional producer, and in 1959 founded the 59 Theatre Company.

James Hammerstein
Article Abstract:
Theatre director and producer James Hammerstein worked as stage manager for several shows in his early 20s. He then went on to produce and direct, becoming involved with productions that required a range of contradictory skills. He played tennis to a professional level as a young man, and was also very good at swimming and diving. He achieved a great deal personally, and was also able to cope with the burden of his father's fame.
