'Godfather' village baffled by murders
Article Abstract:
The recent murder of a young clothing retailer in the Sicilian town of Corleone, followed by the murders of his sister and her husband, seem to have been the work of the Mafia, which has long been associated with the town. However, the killings were the first for almost 17 years, and appear to have been motiveless. This has caused great shock among the inhabitants, but they are now less scared than they were when Mob killings were frequent in the 1950s, and have been demonstrating in the streets.

Who killed Pasolini?
Article Abstract:
A new film by Marco Tullio Giordana, 'Pasolini: an Italian Crime,' has rekindle controversy about the murder in Nov 1975 of novelist, poet and film-maker Pier Paolo Pasolini by a rent boy. The film discusses whether the murderer acted alone, and considers the possible involvement of politicians and secret service agents. Lawyer Nino Marazziti is now calling for the case to be reopened.
