Gold casts shadow on Swiss war neutrality
Article Abstract:
Switzerland is being forced to completely re-assess its actions during the second world war as a result of claims that it handled Nazi gold. The country was once proud of its war record, especially because it offered refuge to 250,000 people who fled from persecution in other European countries. Switzerland is now accused of having taken action which allowed the Nazis to pursue the second world war for much longer than would otherwise have been possible and of sending at least 38,000 refugees back to face Nazi persecution.

Portraits of the artist as an old man
Article Abstract:
The Royal Academy in London, England, is currently exhibiting some of photographer Andre Villers' favourite images of Pablo Picasso. This exhibition accompanies the exhibition entitled 'Picasso: Painter and Sculptor in Clay.' The 25 photographs, which are usually held in a museum in France, give the visitor an impression of both Picacco's work and his domestic life. However, the main purpose of these photographs, which date from 1953 to 1959, is to illustrate the main exhibition.
