Philip O'Connor
Article Abstract:
Writer, poet and broadcaster Philip O'Connor had an unusual childhood, and by the time he left school showed pronounced megalomania or messianism. Poetry became the ideal outlet for his emotions, but he had strong contempt for the editors who published his early work. He had a number of relationships with women, and fathered an unknown number of children, participating little in their upbringing. He gained acclaim in literary circles with the publication of 'Memoirs of a Public Baby.'
