Actress Helen Vinson studied at the University of Texas before eloping with Harry N. Vickerman in May 1925. She appeared in a production of 'The Charm School' in Houston, TX, in 1927, and in the same year made her Broadway debut in 'Los Angeles.' Her screen debut came in 1930 in the low-budget comedy 'It's a Deal.' She gained a contract from Warners in 1932, and made 18 films during her first three years in Hollywood. She made one of her most impressive films, 'The Power and the Glory,' while on loan to Fox in 1933.

Ruth Goetz

Playwright Ruth Goetz was born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1908. She was educated in New York, NY, and Paris, France, and began writing plays with her husband Augustus, whom she married in 1932. Their first play to be produced was 'Franklin Street,' in 1940.

Actor and circus proprietor Jean Richard was born in Bessines, France, in 1921. He came to public attention through Radio Luxembourg and the RTF television station, and made his first film appearance in 'Six Heures a Perdre' in 1946.
