Lubos Fiser
Article Abstract:
Lubos Fiser was a Czech composer who was born in 1935 and studied at the Prague Conservatoire between 1952 and 1956, then graduated from the Aacdemy of Music in 1960. He wrote for TV and movies, but was best known for concert music, and put most of his energy into this activity. He discarded most compositional techniques of the 20th century and developed a very individual style. Czech musicians tended to reject modern music after 1985, and this meant that Fiser's music was neglected. His violin and guitar concertos were played in 1998 at Karlovy Vary.
