Immune system link to chronic fatigue
Article Abstract:
Doctors at St Thomas's and Guy's hospitals in London, UK, have discovered that high levels of melatonin are linked to chronic fatigue syndrome. Melatonin is a powerful enhancer of the immune system and people suffering from the syndrome have been found to have up to double the level of melatonin in their blood than those people without the syndrome. The discovery will be good news for people suffering from the disorder as it will no longer be dismissed as a psychological problem. High levels of melatonin is known to disrupt the immune system and thus cause a susceptibility to illness. People that overdo things and get very stressed will produce more melatonin.

Aliens beneath the ice?
Article Abstract:
Scientists are extremely interested in Europa, a moon of Jupiter which many believe offers the best change of discovering extraterrestrial life in our solar system. Europa has substantial tidal energy, and scientists believe that there is a liquid ocean under the icy surface. It is thought that many of the vital ingredients for life to have evolved are present under Europa's surface. Research would initially involve sending a space probe to orbit Europa.
