I quit because ministers have blurred the message on drugs
Article Abstract:
The UK government lacks real political will to address the problem of drug abuse. Modern culture in the UK seems to support drug-taking, and drugs are now extremely widely available on the streets. It is now time to accept that drug abuse has a heavy social cost and that existing anti-drug policies are ineffective. Concerns about political correctness have made it impossible to suggest that young people should not take illegal drugs, but a policy shift should now take place, ensuring that drugs are no longer tolerated.
