Is Jean-Jacques Rousseau to blame for France's missing millions?
Article Abstract:
France has since the late 19th century placed strong emphasis on the need to increase the size of the population. This is because France has since the 18th century had a much lower birth rate than other European countries. Families with three children or more are eligible for a wide range of benefits, including travelling for half price on the metro in Paris, France, and paying considerably less tax. Some observers believe that France's low birth rate can be attributed to the cult of the child fostered by Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

What is the Jewish state for?
Article Abstract:
The issue of what a Jewish state is really for continues to dominate Israeli politics, despite the apparent willingness of prime minister Netanyahu to abandon some of the religious and right-wing elements in his coalition government in order to ensure the continuation of the peace process with Palestine which is so vital to attracting foreign investment to Israel. All elements in Israel are suffering from a serious identity crisis, and there is no clear way in which a lasting peace can be achieved.

Brainwashed children of God blaze trail of murder and mayhem in Uganda
Article Abstract:
The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) seeks to overthrow President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and replace his government with one based on the Ten Commandments. The LRA is led by Joseph Kony and abducts children who are made to kill others judged as having been disobedient or be shot themselves. Some 8,000 children have been abducted, according to United Nations estimates. They are supported by Sudan, which the Ugandan government claims provides the LRA with arms.
