It is 'just history' - but this feud is still tearing the Tories apart
Article Abstract:
The UK Conservative party remains haunted by the presence of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Her presence in the background during the time John Major was Prime Minister was exceptional, even by the standards of other former party leaders. Many of those who caused problems for Major were people who wished that Thatcher had not been removed from power in 1990. The Conservative party will not really enter a new era until it is led by somebody who is sufficiently brave to reject Thatcher's legacy.
