It starts with a hoax...it ends in havoc
Article Abstract:
About 20% of telephone call to the UK emergency services are hoax calls. The police tend to be sympathetic to people making nuisance calls, some of whom are truly trying to help. According to a psychologist from the University of London, Dr. Glen Wilson, who believes that making calls gives callers a sense of power, steps need to be taken to ensure the calls cease. According to Superintendent Glen Chalk, from Dorset police, whose search for a mother who had disappeared was impeded by a hoax call, callers can be prosecuted for obstructing the police or making malicious calls.

Without flowers you can't say it
Article Abstract:
Clothing manufacturer and retailer Laura Ashley is facing considerable challenges as its traditional image becomes increasingly inappropriate for modern tastes. Its clothes became very popular in the 1970s, when they fitted in very well with the general trend for gaining inspiration from the past. However, they no longer appeal to young people. Further problems are being created by the fact that the company is facing more competition from other retailers, including mail order companies.
