'It struck me it could have been the same car that had run her down
Article Abstract:
Having a very close friend who is involved in a car accident is an experience which you never really forget, according to actress Amanda Root. Her friend Clare Powis was knocked down by a car in Mar 1986 and suffered extensive injuries. Root, who has had a strong Christian faith for a long time, prayed for Powis in the hospital chapel, and Powis now has a firm belief in the strength of those prayers. The accident reaffirmed Root's own beliefs, particularly the important of fighting for the good in all situations.

Being a failure taught me how to succeed
Article Abstract:
There is something rather distasteful about the processes by which people become famous, according to radio presenter John Peel. He feels that he reached an important stage in his life when he realized that he did not want to socialize with celebrities. He believes that people are as much the sum of their failures as of their successes. If people like doing what they do and like who they are, then they should not hesitate to celebrate their failures.
