Article Abstract:
Residents of Belfast, Northern Ireland, are unwilling to openly express optimism about the peace process. Lack of hope became a key feature of everyday life in Northern Ireland as people grew accustomed over many years to paramilitarism and heavy security. However, the prospects for this process are actually quite good. There is a great deal of mainly unexpressed desire for the current negotiations to lead to a genuine peace deal.

Making a sequel to the Good Friday agreement
Article Abstract:
Journalists still have little firm information about what is taking place in the latest round of peace talks in Northern Ireland. Some journalists feel that the prospects for a firm agreement are diminishing, while others believe that it would be impossible not to reach some form of agreement.
