Jesus the rich kid brings disturbing news
Article Abstract:
A close reading of the Gospels indicates that Jesus Christ was probably from a middle-class background, even though he is generally portrayed as having been born in very poor circumstances. It is important to be aware of Jesus Christ as having been born into a relatively well-off family, as this has considerable implications for Christians. It seems that Jesus Christ rejected his middle-class origins and chose to live a life of poverty. He challenged the pride and complacency of the wealthy, and assumed that the poor would enter heaven by right.

I found Jesus in my lap-top!
Article Abstract:
The Internet computer network permits communication between four million people worldwide and one discussion topic is the Bible. A group clled 'talk.origins' debates evolution against creation and many student contributors quote academic research. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) list is sent to new participants. There is a group of members known as the T O Regulars who respond contentiously to new claims. Conversion is rare.

What they say may not be what they mean
Article Abstract:
Computer manuals are often incomprehensible and use jargon. The early chapters are worth reading as they may explain the author's approach. The appendices probably contain useful information which is not indexed. Any tutorial included is worth following. Software producers rarely check the manual as they do the software, so it may contain errors. Books may be more readable than the official manual.
