KLA tells Nato: 'Arm us or invade.'
Article Abstract:
The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) believes that Serbia plans to split Kosovo, Yugoslavia, along a line running from the north-western city of Pec to the south eastern region of Krajmorav. This arrangement would ensure that the Serbs gain control of Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, as well as the key town of Mitrovica and part of the Drenica region. The KLA is calling on Nato to either use ground troops or supply it with weapons. It claims that this approach would make it possible for the whole population of Kosovo to return home by the end of Jul 1999.

Children paint the images of terror
Article Abstract:
Many of the ethnic Albanian children who have fled Kosovo, Yugoslavia, are showing signs of being severely traumatized. In many cases, they are unable to express their feelings, and have become either withdrawn or hyperactive. In Kukes, Albania, counselling work with these children is already producing positive results, and more Albanians are being trained to work with traumatized child victims of ethnic cleansing. Ethnic Albanian refugees in the area are still living in extremely primitive conditions.

In the bars of Kosovo, traders in KLA weapons are open to offers
Article Abstract:
Large numbers of weapons are being smuggled out of Kosovo, Yugoslavia, and onto the international market via Macedonia and Albania. Nato sources believe that a significant quantity of Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) weapons has been sold off to dealers with the knowledge of some senior KLA officials. It is believed that the weaponry for sale is mainly being kept in secure locations in Albania, which was the original sponsor of the KLA and where the KLA has a well-established network.
