Kid sister who calls me mum
Article Abstract:
Vicky Charlesworth feels that it has not been difficult to become legal foster-mother to her sister Vicky, who is 14, even though she must also look after her 18-month-old son. However, she finds it hard to strike the correct balance between being a mother and being a sister on issues of discipline. Vicky believes that she respects her sister more than she respects her mother, with whom she no longer felt able to live. She also welcomes the fact that she can speak openly with her sister because they are closer in age than a real mother and daughter would be.
