Lewinsky will confess to sex with Clinton in return for immunity
Article Abstract:
Independent prosecutor Kenneth Starr has agreed to grant immunity from prosecution to Monica Lewinsky in return for a commitment by her to make a full testimony to the grand jury hearing sex and perjury allegations against President Bill Clinton. A spokesman for Clinton has tried to play down this development, stating that it will not present Clinton with any problems. Privates on parade as sex harassment case turns ugly
Article Abstract:
The US media is showing a very ambivalent attitude towards how much information should be disclosed in the sexual harassment case being brought by Paula Jones against President Bill Clinton. Many Americans are opposed to the disclosure of intimate sexual details, and there is also a strong feeling of deference towards the office of the presidency. Some observers believe that Jones is receiving funding from part of the religious right which is seeking to discredit Clinton as President.

The Clinton show keeps rolling as subpoena looms
Article Abstract:
President Bill Clinton has been subpoenaed by independent prosecutor Kenneth Starr to appear before the grand jury in the Monica Lewinsky case. His lawyers are now negotiating with Starr, hoping to avoid him having to submit to the subpoena, although it seems that he is willing to testify in some way. Clinton's advisers have warned that he would lose the support of Democrats in Congress if he openly challenges or ignores the subpoena.
