Will the tobacco trade go up in smoke?
Article Abstract:
The recent case of Grady Carter, a lung cancer victim who has received 500,000 pounds sterling from Brown and Williamson, a US division of tobacco concern BAT, has already served to severely damage tobacco shares. It could prompt a large amount of other cases, which would in turn further push down the share values of tobacco companies. This comes at a time when the industry is already battling against negative publicity.
