Actress Martha O'Driscoll appeared in local pageants and plays at an early age. She gained a role in the 1935 musical 'Collegiate,' and had other small dancing roles in 'Here Comes the Band,' 'The Big Broadcast of 1936' and 'The Great Ziegfeld.' Her first two starring roles were in the 1940 films 'Wagon Train' and 'Li'l Abner.' She starred in five films with Noah Beery Jr, including the 1944 film 'Hi Beautiful,' and also featured in the 1945 films 'House of Dracula' and 'Week-end Pass.'

Alice Faye

Actress Alice Leppert, known as Alice Faye, began working with a dance troupe at the age of 14. She appeared in the chorus of the 1931 production 'George White's Scandals' on Broadway, and was spotted by Rudy Vallee, who hired her as a vocalist on his radio show. She took the starring role in the 1934 film version of 'George White's Scandals,' and was offered a long-term contract by Fox. She established a particularly successful acting partnership with Dom Ameche.
