Article Abstract:
Isabel Dean was an actress who played in the theater, television and motion pictures. Her work in the theater shows that she was capable of more than was indicated by her TV and motion picture work. She was seen as the most undervalued UK actress by Harold Hobson, a critic. Her roles included Ophelia with John Gielgud, when she had taken on the role as understudy. She put in an especially good performance in her theater role as Hester in the work by Terence Rattigan 'The Deep Blue Sea.'
