David Manners
Article Abstract:
Actor Rauff de Ryther Duan Acklom, known as David Manners, obtained a degree in forestry from the University of Toronto, Canada. While at university, he also studied acting under Bertram Forsyth. He joined Basil Sydney's touring company in 1924, and made his Broadway debut in 'Dancing Mothers' in the same year. His first film role was in the 1930 film version of the anti-war play 'Journey's End.' One of his most sensitive performances was seen in the 1931 film 'The Last Flight.'

Michael Denison
Article Abstract:
Actor Michael Denison decided on a career in the theatre while reading modern languages at Oxford University, England. He performed with the Oxford University Dramatic Society, and then studied at the Webber-Douglas Drama School in London, England. He became a professional actor after only three terms. He appeared in many productions with Dulcie Gray, whom he married in Apr 1939. He was an active member of British Actors' Equity, and wrote two volumes of autobiography.
